Useful Drills 64

So far, we have learned how to listen to single words or sentences. Today, I am going to give you more work! To improve your listening ability, this is necessary. Today, I am going to read you a text. This text is very simple and we have already worked on it. Therefore, you don't need to worry about it. Please do not waste your time looking for this text in our previous lessons! No cheating! Do you remember that?
All I want you to do is this: listen to the audio file once or twice (even more if you think is necessary). Then, suppose that the desktop of your computer is one of your friends. Try to narrate this simple text to your friend in Persian. You are allowed to use different Persian words to tell this story to your friend. Do not whisper the words; try to pronounce them a bit louder!

When you are done, suppose that your friend has problems understanding some of the Persian words. At this stage, on behalf of your friend ask yourself some words and try to translate those words into English for your friend. For example, your friend may raise this question (your friend speaks in English): what does (this Persian word) mean? Or, who did this (referring to some part of the story)? Or, something like that. I cannot raise good questions clearly now because I do not want to write the story to you! The above questions are simple hints to let you know what to do.

If possible, please right-click on the link below to download this audio file. Have fun!
