Practice makes perfect!

'To kiss' means /bu:sidæn/. Listen! Delete /nu:n/and you'll have /bu:sid/. Listen! Now try it with the subjective pronouns. You'll say:

I kissed == /mæn bu:sidæm/. Listen!

You kissed == /to bu:sidi/. Listen!

Now continue!!

'To have' means /da:shtæn/. Listen! Delete and you'll have /da:sht/. With subjective pronouns you'll say:

I had == /mæn da:shtæm/. Listen!

You had == /to da:shti/. Listen!

Now continue!

 

From today, you may go to Persian samples pages to see if you can find any verbs in simple past tense. Do not pronounce the verbs that we have not studied yet. Just try to find the familiar ones.
